Divinylbenzene has two vinyl groups. It is reactive and can form insoluble polymer with three-dimensional structure. It is an important crosslinking agent. It is widely used in the manufacture of ion exchange resin, unsaturated polyester resin, ABS resin, polystyrene resin and modified styrene butadiene rubber. It is also used as crosslinking agent for copolymerization of styrene, butadiene, acrylonitrile, methyl methacrylate and acrylate emulsion polymerization.
